I create HMI project for TP1500 Comfort  Operator Panel.

How to duplicate the external tags (PLC tags) to the internal HMI-tags ?

I think it can be done via VB-script functions ?

Could you show me a code for a one tag or a reference to a correspondent example ?

Which trigger and frequency should I use in order not to overload the system memory and CPU executing in Operator Panel Runtime ?

Is there any other way for subject ?

Why would you duplicate the external tags to internal ones?

Go to HMI tags, select the tag you want. Go to properties -> Events -> Change value en use the right function to Set the internal tag with the value of the 'changed' external tag.

I want to archive the Process Tags both to local media storage (SD card or USB card) and to network HDD.

On OP I want to have trends and may be tables of Process Tags.

If I'm not mistaken the trends only take information from the Data Logs which have "RDB" format type.

But I also want to have the "Data Logs" which have "CSV" - type in order to view them on PC after they have been copied to PC HDD via local network.

So I need two "Data Logs" with two format types : RDB  and  CSV.

One Process Tags -->  one external HMI tag --> only one Log Tag which can be put to only one "Data Log" (e.g. RDB type) .

To create a "Data Log" with CSV type I need the additional same tag. I would not like to create additional tags in PLC  DBs for this goal.

And I think the internal tags based on the same external tags will solve the problem.

I use TIA v.15.1  and create a project for TP1500 Comfort Panel.

Now I want to get the internal Tag_2  as an exact copy of internal Tag_1 by value.

I created the internal Tag_2.

I go Tag_1 - "Properties"  - Events - Value Change – choose “Set Tag” – choose “Tag (Output)” = Tag_2  -  choose  “Value” = Tag_1.

Then I start simulation PLCSIM + WinCC RT on my configuration PC.

Both tags are connected to their "I\O fields" on a screen.

Tag_1 is the output value of my VB action and its value is changed Ok in its "I\O field".

But value of Tag_2 in its "I\O field" never changes and always  “0”.

Why it doesn’t work ?

How can I get the exact copy of internal Tag_1 by value ?
