With the MD 720-3 you will need to use a PC Station with a fixed IP or an DYN-DNS Address online at the Internet. This PC Station will then forward your data from PLC to PLC. On this PC you need either the - Micro SC Server, or - Telecontrol Server Basic. majki1980 Posts: 21 Rating: (1)	Hello, I know about this. But I want to communicate between 2 S7-1200 with RS232 modules CM1241, and SINAUT MD 720-3, directly, without server. Just to write protocol for exchange data. Is that possible? Configuration is like this: S7-1200 with CM1241 and MD 720-3 on one side, and same at the other side. Best regards!

J_Bell Posts: 5822 Rating: (412)	Hello, I am sorry, but I fear... this will not work. The configuration of the MD 720-3 allows only Station to Server connections, not Station to Station connections. I am sure about this because I just finished an S7-300 project that usesthis modem. The only interconnection I know of is between two MD 741. Best regards J_Bell

J_Bell Posts: 5822 Rating: (412)	Hello, you are right, it will not work with the serial interface and the MD 720-3. Have you ever spend a thought on a CP 1242-7? These module may provide you a feature, but under special circumstances, look for GPRS direkt for more to know. Best regards J_Bell
