How to execute VB script from value change

I am using TIA Portal V13 for a TP1900 Comfort panel Dim val val = SmartTags("screenshot-in-prog") If val = True Then ActivateScreen "main menu", 0 PrintScreen Else ActivateScreen "A alarms 1", 0 PrintScreen End If I call this script from an internal tag on value change event. If instead of calling the script, I enter PrintScreen as the function in the event, it works. But if I call the script instead, it is not printing anything. Am I doing something wrong? Does the script itself have to be downloaded separately?

You would have to use a PLC tag instead. Regards, Frink

Murof Platinum Expert Joined: 8/3/2009 Last visit: 4/29/2025 Posts: 15380 Rating: (1897)	Hello achristia If you use trigger Tags from PLC for running a Script check that you have to use the acquisition mode "cyclic continous" (use a cycle as slow as possible for your situation). Bye Murof
