How to filter out alarms from group signals?

Marqse Posts: 13 Rating: (1)	Hi, I've got a picture with several objects but I don't want all objects to generate alarms in group display. How can I filter out/hide some of the objects from the group signal? I cannot change the AS project since this is just an OS client project running parallel to another OS project. Thanks, Markus

I don't know how to do it in runtime, I do not think it is possible with the "Relevant" property. The PTM sets the alarmlogging, so you have to do something withblocking the alarm(s) in alarmlogging. Then it sould work! For now, have a nice weekend. Hope I can help you next week....

Marqse Posts: 13 Rating: (1)	Well, this is just a client projet somaybe it isn't possible to solve my problem byconfiguring the alarm logging.. But I will gladly try every suggestion. Is there some way I could solve it by making my own group signal tag and evaluate it in group display?

What is your goal? Maybe we can think of something else. Is it your goal to show only on one client a diferent group display in a special case in runtime and all other clients not? In this case we usually group this in the PLC. Good luck, Jaap

Marqse Posts: 13 Rating: (1)	Ok, my misstake. It actually isn't a client OS project, buta server OS project. But there are no objects in this project, all objects blong to other servers. Therefore it isn't possible to handle the tags in this OS alarm logging. This is a sub project that should work indepentently from the main multi project. My goal is to have the same objects in several pictures (different areas and group displays), but only having alarms showing inonegroup display at a time. I'd like to be able to switch between which objects that is generating alarms to the group display. The pictures also contain other objects which always should generate alarms to the group displays.

Jaapie Gold Member Joined: 1/17/2006 Last visit: 8/29/2023 Posts: 799 Rating: (63)	Hi Marqse, Ok I would do something like this (depending on how much objects you have, watch out for your performance!!): Create for every object on screen an internal tag (unsigned 16 bit). Place on all screens dummy gourpdisplays and set all Relevantproperties of these dummieson TRUE and display on FALSE. Set the propertyRelevant of your excisting groupdisplays on FALSE.Configure the PTM on this special server. (in this case you need special pictures on your special server, I hope this is not a problem, but you can also create empty pictures with only your internal groupdisplays on it) In an action (triggeron tags or cyclic)you can fill in the internal tags by evaluate the real EventStates and OR all the bits of the alarms. If you do not want to group a specificEventState you can filter this out within the script. Be carefull with the amount of tags. I would saya max of 50 tags every 10 seconds or so.... Hope this will help you to get an idea. Jaap
