How to findout profibus signal cross referenceing in the program.

Genious Brain Posts: 15 Rating: (0)	Hello Expert, Iam facing a problemto finding the correct fault because my DCS is communicating through profibus by a simens controller and DCS is getting boolion bits in the form of double words I know the DCS receivingbitaddress but don't know how and where it will be in the Siemens program. Most likely candidates are DP-DP Master comms via DP coupler OR DP Master - DP Slave comms (there are other possible Profibus comms available butgut feeling tells me it is one of the two above and I'd be interested to know anyhow which way you went concerning THIS thread). Anyway,either way it is really just a matterof checking/determining the data mapping (i.e. which I/O's on one side correlate to which I/O's on the other side. Onceyou did this you'll know where the bits come from. Should you have problems finding out what writes to theOutput addresses in the S7, I suggest you post the S7 program here together with info theoutpput addresses. I hope this helps
