Hello Gimeno; Not exactly. Siemens has developped a parallel tool for creating and exporting hardware and network configurations, the TIA Selection Tool. Once you have downloaded it (from the first link below), you can use it to generate the hardware configuration for your project, then you can export it to either Excel, or EPlan, or TIA Portal v16 (where you do not have to build the hardware configuration). https://new.siemens.com/global/en/products/automation/topic-areas/tia/tia-selection-tool.html https://support.industry.siemens.com/tf/pa/en/posts/bill-of-material/147319?page=0&pageSize=10 https://blog.acdist.com/siemens-selection-tool-a-quick-overview-of-a-powerful-timesaver Note that in the first link, after the download links, it is suggested you register to the Siemens Indusrty Mall "to take full advantage to the TIA Selection Tool". Registering to the Industry Mall would effectively give you pricing information for your selected material, good if you require it; you can also get that isformation from your local siemens rep.It is not absolutely necessary to register in order to take advantage of the tool. And registering to the industry Mall must be done by your company, easier if you already have a solid commercial relationship with Siemens. Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier |

Thanks for your answer Daniel. What if I want to start from scratch, like totally away from TIA portal projects? Some of the projects we need to draw are not in any software for now (or at least we don't have them) Also does this work with other hardware aside from Siemens? Our system includes devices from a bunch of manufaturers. Just to he short I only need a simple and quick software that I can use to draw the schematics in our cabinets, not really integrate it with other development programs. Thanks in advace Eduardo
