how to generate report in excel file from archive tags.

Le Parisien Posts: 8 Rating: (1)	better way is write C-script in WinCC to log all data you want to use in report in csv file format. Then You can create a wizard in Excel VBS to open log file and displayin tabular form,you can put some trends, everything you can do in Excel.

Would it be tied to a button I would program?I suppose it can be event driven also. I am a beginner and forgive me if the question is simple. I have the same desire. Currently I have an asyncronous tag being archived. I have a trend view to allow viewing. I am aware that with V6.2, my version, that you can enable the "save" button for the trend view and that produces a .csv file. Does the scripting allow more control? What if there is more data in the archive that excell allows (65000 points)?

I have no idea how to creat utility in it. Tough I have done TIA v12 but i don;t know how to set report in excel in specific form. please help me.
