How to Generate Tag in WInCC?

TSM Posts: 4 Rating: (0)	Hi, I have the WinCC 4.01 and the Simadyn D Control with Struc G. I need to learn how to generate a tag in WinCC and associate it with some function block in Struc G. I know that I need to generate an address book with the Struc G and use the Software SPE (Systematic Project Engineering), but I don't know how to configure the tag in SPE. Can you help me to generate the tag? Best Regards, Tiago

Hi TSM,

as far as I know SPE is a tool of the I&S rolling mill people....

if you are using the WinCC-simadyn channel, you could have a look at the channel description or you try to contact it4industry, which may have a description of their channel:

TSM Posts: 4 Rating: (0)	Hello Nemo! Yes, Rolling Mill!! Do you work with Rolling Mill? And how can I generate tags of others PLC's, example Siemens STEP 7?? Are there another method to generate tags using other software different of SPE? Thanks, TSM

balu Posts: 69 Rating: (9)	Hi TSM, if You use Simadyn D communicating with WinCC, You use communication driver SDPMC on WinCC. On the original delivery disk there is a program including discription called PROBI. With this program You can handle variables between Simadyn D and WinCC. Then You don`t need SPE. If You like to communicate to other control Systems, like S5 or S7 You need the corresponding channel drivers. for S5 You need S5PMC. You get this from Nemo`s mentioned address. For S7 You can activate the S7 protocol suite in WinCC. For transfer data from Step 7 to WinCC You cann use AS-OS transfer in SIMATIC Manager Have fun, Balu
