How to get current logged user group

I would like to allow only a certain group of users (HMI Administrator) the possibility to change the configuration of the Custom Web Control I'm designing, is it possible to discriminate the logged user and his rights in order to serve a different view of the same CWC?

I would like to be able to read which group the currently logged in user belongs to. By reading the value of '@UserName' in the default tag table, I can easily read the user name of the currently logged in user, but I have no idea how to check which group it belongs to.
