How to improve reading performance?

Just to know and learn,

Even tough it is not 100% compatible I use WP231 in a check weigh application. However, when I check the received data - using trace in TIA v17. I see the same value multiple times.

Have any recommendations to improve reading performance?

Hello Adam Maczynski,

Please use neither the command 7001 (= Read all datarecords!!!) nor 2030 to see the current weight value!

It’s not necessary to read any datarecord, if you would like to see the current weight value.

Go into the Instance-DB of the WP231 to the structure „s_IO_DATA“:

At the parameter „PROCESS_VAL_1“, you can see immediately your current weight value without reading any datarecord.

All values in the structure „s_IO_DATA“ are automatically updated each 10 msec (that means also the parameter „PROCESS_VAL_1“).

Split from Siwarex WP231 problem with continuous weight reading in cpu.

Hi, what I mean is:

Process value1 repeats the same value for more than 100ms. (as seen in the trace)

What I expect to see was changing values every 20ms.

The function WP231DR (from sample project) was placed under OB30 (with 20ms).
