How to interconnect blocks from two AS

Hi,

you can't make wide interconnection in OB35.Minimum cycle time for wide communication is 200ms, so you need to do that in OB34 or lower.

Appreciate that this is a necrobump, but just thought I would add...

Using PCS7 V8.1

I had been trying to make an AS-AS connection between two PLCs with all blocks in OB34, but I kept getting the 'invalid interconnection' error. I couldn't for the life of me work out why. I put both blocks in the same PLC and connected them and it worked fine.

For me, the issue was that the data type being sent from the first block has to exactly match the data type of the second block. 

My first block was sending out a structure (Bool / Byte) and my second block was expecting a Bool. They connect fine in the same PLC, but apparently when connecting AS-AS Step 7 didn't like it. 

Fix was to split the structure and all of a sudden it works fine.
