How to know when a block is protected

I A Posts: 15 Rating: (0)	Hello to all, by reading the programming with step 7 manual I can see that allmost all block types can be protected and in the meaning column it says: Block protection; a block compiled with this option does not allow its code section to be viewed. The interface for the block can be viewed, but it cannot be changed. I uploaded an S7300 project to my PC, I have not symbolic data which I was aware of it, but since there are several OB's with no ladder information in them, I wonder if they might be protected or indeed there is no informaiton on them. Do anybody knows how to verify, not in the properties tab, if the block are protected? Regards, IA

Dear IA, protected blocks have a special icon with a little lock (see "BlockProtection1.jpg" in attachment) when you open the block (TIA Portal V13), there is an information, that the block is protected in the editor-area (see "BlockProtection2.jpg" in attachment) Best regards, yy1 Attachment BlockProtection.zip (327 Downloads)
