I use TIA v.15.1  and create a project for TP1500 Comfort Panel.

The tag_1 is an output of my VB action so it’s internal.

Is it possible to make it exact copy to an internal one in HMI project ?

I try to do as following but it doesn’t  work :

I created the internal Tag_2.

I go Tag_1 - "Properties"  - Events - Value Change – choose “Set Tag” – choose “Tag (Output)” = Tag_2-  choose  “Value” = Tag_1.

Then I start simulation PLCSIM + WinCC RT on my configuration PC.

Both tags are connected to their "I\O fields" on a screen.

Tag_1 is the output value of my VB action and its value is changed Ok in its "I\O field".

But value of Tag_2 in its "I\O field" never changes and always  “0”.

Is there another way to do the exact copy of tag which is the output of a VB action ?

Hello Alex,

at least a script is not executed on change of an internal tag when other internal tag is affected.

You may try to use tag_1 as PLC-tag to check if it works then.

It might help if you can post the script resp. how it is called to find another way to get the same value in tag_2.

Not sure if this helps, but I've noticed if an internal tag changes after screen is loaded, it doesn't update. Leave the screen and come back. see if that value changed, when you return to the first screen.

In fact I don’t need to display theTag_2 value on a screen. I need it to work and change its value in a “background”.  If I switch to another screen and come back to the previous one in RT the value in "I\O field" withTag_2 also remains “0”.

Yes, in this case everything works fine.

But seems if I use an internal tag instead an external one as a source tag as I described before, then it doesn’t work independently on how the source internal tag is formed.

In my case the source internal tag is an output of my VB action.

I tested another case.

I made a button and 2 "I\O fields" with connected Tag_3 and Tag_4 on a screen.

I configured the button so that every click on it increases the value of Tag_3.

I configured a Tag_3 to set a value of the Tag_4 as I described before.

In RT  I  click a button and see the value of "I\O field” of Tag_3 increasing but the value of "I\O field” of Tag_4 remains “0”.

So it seems the “SetTag” system function doesn’t work if both the source and target tags are internal.

However I fixed the problem.

I made the tag Tag_2 as an additional output of my VB action.
