How to Online G120??

I am using RS 485 to 232 converter (adman make) and PC com Port USS in PG PC for Starter. I am connecting cable to SubD connector given on the drive. Please guide me for this Devesh
	I dont Like people driving Fast, thats the reason I overtake them ;)

I did this several times for MM440 in past but for Sinmics, this is 1st time. Is there any other setting while we use Rs485-232 converter in place of Siemens Standard Kit? Devesh

powerpack Posts: 74 Rating: (3)	I also initially struggled even though having no problems with MM440 with serial comms. On a G120 I always also tellSTARTER to "finddrives online first" first before I start the project. Making sure that the baud rate is right first . Once you have done this then set up your project you can go and off line at will. I dont know why but that is the only real way I could get it to work as well with serial comms. Where possible and there is a DP port CPU I use MPI or DP via a CP5512 card or a PG Unfortuantly going on line via serial comms for the first time is sometimes frustrating on a G120. No idea why........
