I have a wincc v15 pro project but the project doesn't have the .ap15 (not an .ZAP15).

I have a .mcx at the the root of my project folder.

When I open this file the project is launched in runtime.

Is it possible to open this project with tia portal?

The file extension MCX is the extension from your runtime project.

If you like to open your project for modifications (engineering) you have to open your *.ap15 file

After modification you have to transfer your project to runtime system.

On the runtime project you cannot make any modifications !

Hello Nico,

you can't edit/modify the runtime file with the engineering system. When you want to edit the runtime file, you have to get the corresponding engineering project (*.ap15, which you don't have, yet), make your modifications and then compile the runtime file from it.
