How to prevent the CPU from stopping when there is an error occur

WeeHong Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	Hi guys, Can anyone advice how to prevent the CPU from stopping when there is an error occur (e.g. hardware failure or hardware disconnected from the CPU)? I understand that there are various interrupt error OB available but how to do it?

You see the Fault OB's valid for your PLC. . Just downloading the OB to the PLC will prevent PLC going to stop. better would be to write a proper error handling. Feel free to search the online help for that, each OB has a description and some samples for use. regards, Marcjan

If the OB is not loaded, the CPU goes to STOP. The OB can be empty, if you only want to prevent the CPU to stop. In your final program the error OB should not be necessary any more, or have a programmed reaction to the error.
