Hello.

Which  tag can I use in my PLC program to tell me in which direction (if at all) the motion control is trying to move the servo motor?

I was thinking of using velocity, but I do not know if velocity has a +/- sign.

normally the velocity has a + sign in positive direction and - sign in negative direction. And I think this works the same in S7-1200.

Maybe this FAQ will help you. It is for S7-300T, but the principle is the same for S7-1200/S7-1500(T), I think...

I would urge you to read again carefully the (picture) description that I placed in my first post. I assume there to be a typing error.

The view in TIA internal help is as attached.

"Velocity" (the setpoint) is not ranged. Does this go + and - ?
