Hello everyone, I'm currently using Fail-Safe CPU 1515F-2 PN. I would like to modify the Safety program, but I have already forgot the Protection password. Information: - I have an original project. It is a large project with normal program and safety program (pic 1) - I have a Safey Password to offline modify Safey program (pic 2) - But don't have Protection Password to download into CPU (pic3) Picture links: Siemens password - Google Drive - Useful links Removing password protection - 234948 - Industry Support Siemens How to Delete the Access Protection Password In S71500 - 154637 - Industry Support Siemens After searching in forum and youtube, I have an idea to resolve the issue: 1. Online snapshot of the actual values 2. Power off CPU, remove Simatic Memory Card (SMC) 3. Insert new SMC to PG/PC and delete .S7S file and folder (DO NOT DELETE ANY HIDDEN FILES) 4. Set card type to "Transfer" mode (pic4) 5. Insert the new SCM to CPU and Power ON to start transfer program to new SMC 6. Once transfer is finished, power off the CPU 7.Remove the card from CPU and Power ON ( now the CPU should be empty) 8. Download the original Project to CPU 9. Load snapshot as actuals values ASK FOR HELP - Is that the right process to keep all normal and safety devices working as normal? If not, I'm looking for your expert advice. Thank you very much for your help! AttachmentSiemens password-20221206T122203Z-001.zip (953 Downloads) |

Hello Stefan, Everthing was good until step 7. Some Safety DB and Safety protected DB cannot be written by Snapshot values. Can advise what to do next ( not switch CPU to Run mode yet) Thank you!
