I am using TIA Portal V17 with a KTP700 Basic PN HMI and a 1512SP F-1 PN CPU

I also want to create data log files however HMI does not support scripts. But I just want to rename the log file with Date & time of the day. There is only 1 log file. Is their any thing possible to rename it without scripts functions? like a FC/FB block or using HMI internal tags ?

Thank you so much for your message. I was checking asking this question for HMI KTP700 Basic.

I was able to rename HMI log file name using VB Script in another HMI model (TP1200 Comfort), but I am not sure that I can do that without VB script. But now I am facing another issue, can you please tell me, how can I log a String data type Tag in Historical Data of KTP700 HMI? Please refer to attached picture. It is showing me error, I have checked with it using internal & PLC connection tag, but results are same. I am okay with Wstring or String type of tag. My desired text for logging will be an alphanumeric text string (max. 9 characters).

Please help if you can. Thank you so much in advance.
