How to set P1105?

PISCEAN 2010 Diamond Expert Joined: 4/23/2010 Last visit: 11/23/2024 Posts: 8092 Rating: (881)	Hello Experts, Recently new CNC lathe is installed in our shop with Sinumerik 802D, with 6SN1123-1AB00-0BA1 2x9A power module & 6SN1118-0NH11-0AA1 control module. AC servo motor 1FK7100-5AF-1AA2 I.E. 12 Nm, 8 A rated. Main spindle drive is AC induction motor of 55 Kw with Yaskawa drive. X axis is tripping on 380500 - fault code 608 value 0. we checked & found drive parameter 1105,Maximum permissible current, is set at 59 %. This parameter is pre-set at time of first start up. (Please find attached here with the description of current limit setting) My question is it tripping because of this P1105 parameter?. Also as per manual it is pre calculated at first power start up & for calculated for unlisted motor. Then in my case, when the complete package is of Siemens make why it is not getting updated as rated motor current? i.e. in my case as 8 Amp? Can any one help me?. Thanks in advance. DEEP. If yes what value it shall mean by 100%, means will it be 8 Amp as standard rated motor current value or it will be motor current limit (1122) 22 A, or it be motor maximum current (1104) 37 Amp. Ekalavya Posts: 2964 Rating: (484)	Hello DEEP…. If I understand your mail your getting a error 608 on the X axis….. Let us look in to this alarm….. Normally this alarm pops up when speed controller is at its limit for an inadmissibly long time(Torque and the Current limit). The permissible duration is defined in P1605, the speed upper limit up to when the monitoring responds is defined in the parameter P1606. In synchronous motor operation the correct optimized axis drive should never reach its current limit –not even extremely large speed changes. Generally at the first commissioning, after the parameters have been entered the “Calculate motor data / Calculate controller data” function is not executed the drive keeps the default values which can result in this fault. If you keep this motor outside and try to run it in JOG mode does the motor is moving properly/ its trips with this error? If moving properly then the motor is fine… Can you optimize X axis motor. If your tunning the X axis ensure you moved the axis at center and then only tune.. Check it out this information may be useful…. Regards, Ekalavya

Yes tunning of X axis motor is carried out as explained by you. Also we have checked the motor in disconnected state in JOG mode & working fine. This problem is faced intermittently. My question is why this P1105 is set at 59%? If this is set at 100%, what value it will consider? means will it consider motor rated current, like in my case 8A or will it considered as motor current limit 22 A (P 1122)or will it consider as motor maximum current 37 A (P 1104) Hopenow my question is clear. P1105value cannot be increased... P1105 value 59% is arrived from P1122 and P1104 i.e 22/37=0.59 *100=59% Regards, Ekalavya

I checked with my configuration & to the surprise, I found that P1105 can be increased. I increased it from 59% to 65%. Again I set it to original 59% value. My basic question is 59% of which value?* Is it of rated LT module capacity or of which? Thanks & regards, DEEP.

Hi, Thanks for your reply. Since I was out of station, late in reply. So the problem, which I have described above is observed/faced during produtcion/material cutting trails. While commissioning I am not aware whether commissioning engr has faced the same or not. My basic question is as, the set value in my case 59 % ( which is set at first start up, as per manual) is the % of motor rated capacity,or the % of rated LT module power capacity? Hope I am able to putt my question in correct manner. Thanks in advance. DEEP.
