Dear all, please how do I set a time delay for the hmi buttons. I am writing a project that all the machines needs to run in auto mode. So I need to set a little delay time between the starting of each machines. As we all know all machines cannot start at the same time.  Please, I need your ideas on how to achieve this task.. I have tried all I could. I don't know maybe I need to install additional software to achieve that. Thanks in advance. I am using TIA portal v13 SP1.

Can you show us your code thus far?

To stare the obvious, the HMI buttons will be connected tags of some sort in the PLC which will contain the code to do what you stated.

you cannot use Timer or something else in HMI. This are tasks for PLC programming.

in PLC its easy to use a switch-on-delay or a timer.
