How to Sync two turrets 840d

mike9696 Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	Hey guys I am working on 840d control Mill Turn. It has milling head at the top and turret at the bottom. Turret is with live tooling and milling head can do the turning and of couarse Milling. I am making big shaft on that machine, to cut the cycle time I was trying to use both heads. I put same program for milling head and the turret, but only problem is that milling head is faster (rapid ) then bottom turret, after G00 it screws up, So i was using Wait Codes at the begining of G01 or g02 whatever. So Guys my Qustion is that, is there a way to put program the in one channel only and other will follow. Or if i can Use macro to make them sync? thank you in advance for any commentes and ideas

If they are in the same channel it will be difficult to acheive what you require as all the axes are treated as interpolation axes, as a result, if programmed in the same line they will reach there final position at the same time. If the are declared in seperate channels then it should be possible to re-engineer your part programs but without more specific information, It will be difficult to advise further. mike9696 Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	Hi there thank you for reply, That machine builder is DMG and model is GMX MILL/Turn Linear It has two Channales. MILLING head is channal #1 and turret is channal #2. I gonna try to read that book the one you gave me shortcutto thank you
