How to test if AO module outputs 4-20mA

Raffy Posts: 209 Rating: (2)	Dear Experts, I have a AO module SM332-5HD01-0AB0 and I'd configured it to output 4-20mA. My question is how do I measure if it really outputs 4-20mA??Can we use a milliampmeter and measure the current from its terminals?? I really like to know about this so that we could troubleshoot if there is something wrong with the module or the system wiring itself Please help best regards, raffy

Regards, Marcjan Hi Marcjan, Why do we need to have a load of 250 to 500 ohm??so if I exceed or below that value there would be a problem?? May I use a wire wound resistor for a load?? May I use a wire wound resistor for a load?? Thanks for the help the manual sais the load must be under 500 Ohm, 250 Ohm is regular load. Is it that hard to get a proper resistor? Wirewound may lead to slow down Transient recovery time depends on inductive characteristic, but for testing i don't think it's a problem. Regards, Marcjan
