How to transfer Procidia IWare Licensing

awthomas976 Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	I have a Moore controller that uses Procidia Iware and the computer that it was running on is no longer running. How can I transfer the license from that PC to a new one? I have installed Iware v4 on the new PC and have a copy of the .glic file that was on the old PC.

I will speak with them on your behalf when they return (tomorrow afternoon) and let you know if there is a way for you to do this. I hope that there will be. The 353 controllers were discontinued around 15 years ago and support for Procidia would have stopped around 10 years afterwards. Hopefully we can still help you with your migration issue. The Siemens 353 Process Automation Controller was retired October, 1 2017. Products affected include all 353 models, spare parts and board kits, iConfig configuration software, iWARE HMI software, and iSTATION flatpanel pc. The stated 5 year support period has expired. We no longer have the software and the vendor, Iconics, does not support the iWARE HMI / OPC. You may be able to buy a generic OPC server from Iconics. However, ICONICS does not support v7.2 (iWare v3.0) nor v9.22 (iWare v4.0). As of Oct 2020, ICONICS still supported Genesis 32 v9.5; but the Procidia v4.0 displays do not run on Genesis v9.5.
