How to transfer the user administration settings to the new install of the new VM in offline transfer?

 Hi,

I am attempting to get this to work.  I can send the file across to the remote machine and start the runtime OK. 

The login screen appears and the login credentials that have been setup in the project are not accepted.

When this happened on my local machine to get the RT to accept the username and password was to untick "keep current user administration data in runtime" on load preview pop up.

How do i transfer the user administration settings to the new install of the new VM in offline transfer?

Hi,

Sometimes it is not possible to perform a configuration download (for example, when the target device is not physically connected to the engineering station). In this situation the configuration could be transferred as archive (by e-mail, USB stick, etc.) and loaded on the runtime system. It is called as offline project transfer or transfer by archive.

Main steps:

On the engineering station:

• Create a folder with Windows explorer
• Point this folder in TIA, Project Tree, Card Reader/USB memory, Add user-defined Card Reader:  the selected folder will be appeared there, in the project tree.
• Drag and drop the WinCC Unified application to this folder (not the PC station, just the WinCC Unified application): the TIA will compile and “transfer” the project to the selected folder as a compressed archive.

On the runtime station

• Create a folder with windows explorer and move the created archive from the engineering station to there
• Open the Runtime Manager, click on the “+ “ button, select the moved archive. Click in Add Project
• Select the Project in Runtime Manager and click on play button. (alternatively, you can also click on the checkbox “start runtime with project” in the last step).
