how to update hmi tagname when plc tag name change

Jeff23spl Advanced Member Joined: 2/6/2012 Last visit: 1/22/2025 Posts: 46 Rating: (1)	Hello I'm re-using an old project as a base for a new one but i had to re-name a lot of tags andi would like that the hmi part being updated with what i have done in the plc part Is there a quick way to re-connect tags from plc to hmior i need to rename it one by one. TIA partail V11 SP2 with S7-1215 and TP700 PS my DB'S are done using s7-300/400 mapping (sequential adress)

Eric K Posts: 25 Rating: (1)	Are we sure this function works? I am under the impression this will not be fully implemented until version 11. When we do a "reconnect tags" here, yes, it updates the PLC symbol, but it DOES NOT update the HMI symbol. This part has to be done by hand. Is there a work-around?

Eric K Posts: 25 Rating: (1)	I am using V11 of Portal (WinCC and Step 7) with both S7-1200 and S7-300 PLCs. I do not see these options to reconect anywhere. Is this a Version 12 feature? I am aware of this feature in WinCCflexible.
