How to upload (save) a single datablock in TIA

Example: I have made a datablock for parameters which can be adjusted through a HMI panel. After starting up the system on site I want to save all the values from the online program to my offline program so next time I make a change and download it, no values are lost. I found a FAQ where it is described to upload the complete program but that way will actually delete the complete offline program and replace it with the online one. This is off course a no-go! Version TIA = v11 SP2 Update 4 Firmware PLC = v3.0.1; Hardware = 1 (6ES7 214-1HG31-0XB0) PS: In Step 7 v5.5 you just went online and uploaded the block to the PG. You just needed to be carefull that there wasn't a timestamp conflict.

(Or I am doing something wrong?). I can select the datablock and right-click "copy", but I don't get the "paste" when selecting the offline program folder, neither when I select the offline datablock. Thisapproach works for the complete program, but for some reason not with a single datablock. Just to be sure: You are sayingyou can, using the described aproach, copy paste a single datablock from the online access to the offline program? And we are talking about a S7-1200 PLC? Can you describe the steps you make?

Indeed if you copy full program then upload is ok, but it is not possible to upload blocks one by one. Really strange, but that's the limitation of S7-1200 I suppose. Sorry for confusing you.

Luckely I don't have that many parameters, guess I will do the values by hand then. Real shame it is not possible. Siemens should fix this.

Luckely I don't have that many parameters, guess I will do the values by hand then. Real shame it is not possible. Siemens should fix this. If you create a watch tablefor parameters or values to save, you can go online, monitor that watch table, select all using ctrl-a, copy using ctrl-c, then do your plc download. Then when you start the plc, go online, select the watch table, monitor values, then paste your saved values. There is a FAQ in the tia portal support area on this.
