How to use Simatic Panel to calibrate Siwarex

tthoang86 Posts: 55 Rating: (0)	I am trying to use a Siwarex CS module in my ET200s station to measure a force on a loadcell with IM151-8 PN-DP. The HMI is KTP600 basic colour PN. The IM151-8 connect with the HMI by ethernet cable. I have problem in calibrate the system(follow the SIWAREX CS "Getting Start") The steps in "Scale adjustment" are: 1/Set the adjustment weigh 2/ Send the changed adjustment weight to the Siwarex CS module 3/ Ensure the scale is empty and press "Ajustment zero value" 4/Load the scale with adjustment weight 5/press the button "adjustment weights 1 valid" let say step 1 i set 10kg.. But in step 4 and 5 the appear value stay 0. Thank for any help

tthoang86 Posts: 55 Rating: (0)	P/S: Apparently the nominal value of the load cell is 2000kg. and from this thread/tf/WW/en/Posts/73946 I need 5% of the 2000 kg = 100kg as "ajustment weight 1" (NOT 10kg as above)? Thanks

Into this software you can observe all parameters and see all error messages. If you execute a command, do you receive an error message into the Siwatool software (or Step7)? You are right: You need at least 5% of the nominal load from all load cells. For example: - 3 load cells - nominal load from one load cell: 1000 kg The minimum adjustment weight is: 3 x 1000 kg x 5% = 150 kg Best regards Siwarexi

tthoang86 Posts: 55 Rating: (0)	Thanks We just borrow a Siemens Milltronics BW500 so we can just use the load cell in there. http://www.automation.siemens.com/w1/automation-technology-integrator-milltronics-bw500-bw500-l-17502.htm However, once i connect it in, its straight away got an error : _OM017 Limits for load cell signals exceed or undershot And the red light "max" on the SIWAREX CS keep flashing Can you help with that? The connections are: + Green : SIG+ (Pin 3) + White: SIG- (Pin 7) + Red: EXC+ (Pin 4) pin 2 and 4 connected + Black: EXC- (Pin 6) pin 6 and 8 connected I got some other questions: _ As the BW500 got 2 load cell, but i only want to use 1 to test, is it possible to connect only one to the SIWAREX CS. _It say load cell on the BW500 got 10V DC output while the SIWAREX CS support 6 VDC output (if im not mistaken) Thank you very much

It has to be between: 0 … + 6 mVDC (characteristic value of the load cell is 1 mV/V) 0 … +12 mVDC (characteristic value of the load cell is 2 mV/V) 0 … +24 mVDC (characteristic value of the load cell is 4 mV/V) Yes, you can connect only one load cell to the Siwarex CS. Yes, the Siwarex CS supply the load cell with 6 VDC. You can measure this between the pins 4 and 8 (EXC+ and EXC-). Best regards Siwarexi

So it is the same.. I'm not sure but in the BW500 manual, for load cell Inputs: 0-45 m V DC per load cell Outputts: 10 V DC compensated excitation for strain gauge type, 4 cells max, 150 mA max I guess it is out of scope? Anyway to reduce it? Thanks

Currently, my set up include: _IM151-8 PN/DP CPU 6ES7 151-8AB01-0AB0 connect to the HMI KTP600 PN _PM-E 24V 6ES7 138-4CA01-0AA0 _SIWAREX CS 7MH4910-0AA01 I use the load cell from BW500 to the Siwarex CS. However, the measurement signal between the pins 3 (+) and 7 (-) is 660 mV ... And the weight measurement is "error". How do I reduce that to the accepted level? _

(But I think that you have a “normal” load cell, which you can also connect to the Siwarex CS module) The measurement signal of 660 mV is too high!!! Either the load cell is damaged or wrong connected to the Siwarex CS module! Do you have another load cell which you can connect to the Siwarex CS module for a test? Best regards Siwarexi
