Additionally to the manual and the product information (packed inside the PT100 module) you can find the information in this FAQ: http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/23671451 |

Getting all hot under the collar! Once you have the Pt100 connected as shown in the manual, use a cup of hot coffee and a glass of cold water to test! Make a small LOGO! program with an analog input connected to an analog amplifier and terminated with an analog flag. Then place a message text box and terminate with an open connector. Either make an input to the En of the messgae text to turn it on, or simply double click on the En input to invert it (black dot) - then it is always on. In the Analog amplifier block properties, select the input sensor type to Pt100. The gain & offset will automatically be created as -500 and 2000. Set the display resolution to 0,1 Celcius and the number of decimal places to 1 to get the right readings. In the message text block - make sure that you have turned on the new messgae text features of the 0BA6 family of LOGO!'s. Write some text like "Temp." Next to the full stop, select the analog amplified from the left side and then the Aq value (amplified) and insert it next to the text. Under this, place your cursor at the beginning of the window. Then above the window, select the bar graph icon - it looks like a horizontal stripe nect to the deg C symbol. Inside the properties of this bar graph, reference it to the analog amplifier, set it to the range that you want displayed (tap water shoudlbe about 10 deg C and coffee about 80 deg C). Make the horizontal bar about 12 characters long on the 3rd line On the 4th line on the far left side, put the text "10" and on the right side, the text "80" Next to these 2 texts and also after the analog value after the "Temp." text above, you could also insert the deg C symbol (from above the window, next to the bar graph). (Oh, by the way, see the little trick that I heard about - if you set the character set for the messgae text to GBK (Chinese) or SJIS (Japanese) in the messgae text settings (under the file menu option), then you get 16 characters per line for the display - except if you are using the special symbols or characters like the German ö,ü,ä) Oherwise it helps to make more informative texts - TRY IT!)
