I install brand new installation of WinCC v6.0 SP3 under Windows XP SP1. The installation goes without problems Then I start the WinCC and try to create new project. The new project starts to create, the project folders, project share and project databases are created. Then WinCC Control Center hangs and I get message box Hresult Error: 0x80010105 : The server threw an exception. I made same installation on PC with Windows 2000 SP4 and now I use WinCC v6.0 SP2. I have THE SAME problem!!! The PCs are not in domain. I check the FAQ regarding 0x80010105. 02/07/2006 22089969 WinCC -- Operation and maintenance -- Diagnosing errors It was lack rights - security issue. Unfortunately it doesn't solve my problem at all. It is something else. I know the the reinstallation of PC will solve the problem but now it is not possible. Best regards, Svetozar Yolov

Can you open an existing project? Do your computers have a valid network card configured? WinCC will not work if networking is not installed. Do you have anti-virus software installed on the two machines? If so then try temporarily disabling it. Is there anything reported in the log files in the Diagnose directory? Regards, Salma

No I can not open neither existing nor new project! * Do your computers have a valid network card configured? WinCC will not work if networking is not installed. I know that. The PC has installed and working perfectly NIC. * Do you have anti-virus software installed on the two machines? If so then try temporarily disabling it. There is a NOD32. I disabled it and run WinCC Explorer. Same result - I get exception. * Is there anything reported in the log files in the Diagnose directory? There are no reports in Diagnose directory! Installing WinCC Flex after WinCC V6 SP3 stopped WinCC working. Do you have WinCC Flex installed?

Is there a way to totally remove WinCC Flex from a PC? The standard Uninstall didn't remove all of it, and he thinks that may be his problem. Thanks in advance.

It's a two-part deinstall but I think it still leaves entries behind in the registry ! My customer who had the conflict resolved the problem by inserting the WinCC CD, running through the install but didn't check / uncheck any options. This must have reinstalled a missing DLL or something to get WinCC working again. Have you tried this already?

My feeling was that something in registry regarding to database access is spoiled. That is why I install the Sybase Studio which I found on WinCC CD. It is necessary if you need to migrate the WinCC v5.0 project. And finally I can open WinCC project without boring Hres error. Best regards, Svetozar Yolov
