Hello Ton; You can use the slave configuration in the following FAQ as a guide: Master-slave connection between two CPUs in different projects Your situation will be similar; when you have setup your CPU as a Profibus slave and configured the MS data exchange areas, you will need to save/compile/download to the slave CPU. Then you will configure your eventual Profibus master (with its own Profibus configurator, including your PLC's gsd file), to configure its data exchange areas to matchthe slave CPU's configuration. Remember that what has been declared as an Input area on the slave must be declared as anOutput area of the same size in the master, and vice-versa. Check the FAQ for the master's configuration to validate this example. One thing also: if you setup your PLC as a slave but do not connect it to a master on the bus, your BF L:ED will become active; you must insert OB86 in the slave PLC's programto make sure the slave CPU does not go to STOP mode. Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier |
