HW configuration problem, Profibus slave, SF-led

Nicke_F Regular Member Joined: 5/9/2007 Last visit: 3/25/2025 Posts: 9 Rating: (0)	I have a 314C-2 DP configured as a profibus slave that I will send configured and ready to the customer without the possibility to test it in a profibus network. So wen I start the CPU now it will go to RUN but of course the BF-LED will be lit. But I cant understand why the SF-LED light up? I have OB82 and 86 loaded. If I look in the diagnostics is says: "Difference between setpoint and actual configuration" "Startup with modified system configuration" This messages comes when I configure the profibus as a slave and assign it to a network. What does it mean? Its possible that everything will work just fine when they connect the CPU to the profibus network but it feels not right to send it without knowing... By the way, how do you search in the forum section?

umencho Diamond Member Joined: 3/21/2006 Last visit: 3/30/2025 Posts: 10239 Rating: (1183)	Hello Nicke_F, If you assigned Profibus slaves which is connected to the CPU, after start up CPU will looking for this slave. Without connection (or wrong connection) SF and BF will led. Doesn't metter about which OBs you have into the program. Look at the following entry tells you which organization blocks do you need for error handling in the S7 program of the CPU: 11499205. How to search look at attachment. I dont realy understand, ok if the CPU was a DP master and can't see the slaves that are assigned to the network. But now it is an DP slave and I have nothing else assigned to the profibus network in the hw-config, or are the CPU ecpecting to "find" an DP master on the network and therefor light up the SF? Thanks for the forum search help!
