Hello Experts! I have an urgent task of integrating a CPU 315-2EH14-0AB0 v3.2 as a DP Slave to a CPU 41x-H within a PCS7 v6.x multiproject. I've researched that it can be done by 2 ways: 1) via Configured Stations (if you can have the two stations in one project) and 2) via GSD file (not necessary to have the 2 stations in one project). My problem in way 1 is that the PCS7 (I forgot the Simatic Manager version) does not have CPU 315-2EH14 in its HWcatalog, and when you put that project, it cannot recognize it (the CPU became a question mark [?]) and my problem in way 2 (though I haven't tested it yet) is that it seems there is no GSD file in the exact part no. of the said CPU 315 herehttp://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/llisapi.dll/113652?func=ll&objId=113652&objAction=csView&nodeid0=10805317&lang=en&siteid=cseus&aktprim=0&extranet=standard&viewreg=WW&load=content&subtype=133100 So my question is, for way 1, can I update the HWcatalog of the PCS7 just as I do in Step 7 here:https://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/llisapi.dll?func=cslib.csinfo&objId=40725411&load=treecontent&lang=en&siteid=cseus&aktprim=0&objaction=csview&extranet=standard&viewreg=WW If not, then is there any way of updating the HWcatalog of the PCS7? Also, for way 2, is there a GSD file for the exact part no of the said CPU 315-2EH14? Also, another potential problem for way 1 is, I heard something that we needed Step 7 v5.5 to configure the said CPU 315, but I'm sure the Simatic Manager of the PCS7 v6.x is not v5.5, can I upgrade it to v5.5 without ruining the PCS7 framework? Please respond ASAP! Thanks much!
