I am changing my SCADA PC

AMAL JOSEPH Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	Hello all, We have an EMS system running in one of our clients and as the system is slow we are changing the system(PC) The same version of WinCC is installed in the new system and the communication protocol is S7-1200 Driver with PLC IP 192.168.0.1 and HMI IP 192.168.0.2 While exchanging the system we just need to connect the ethernet port and give the IP of 192.168.0.2 and have the SCADA files?? should we do anything more than this while changing only the PC? I am new to siemens. Any help will be kindly appreciated

In the properties of the connection for the S7-1200 you need to set a symbolic device-name (like S7ONLINE). You need to check in the PG/PC-Interface, if you have assigned the right the NIC to the symbolic device-name, i.e. "Intel...Network Connection.TCPIP.1". Regards Georg Berghof
