Neira Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	Hello again I have several problems here (as usually =) ) and I will really appreciate that you can help me if it is possible. I am trying to make a c# application interface between my PC and a siemens s7-300. The main idea is to send data from a camera machine vision and then send it to the PLC; thought a PC using C# application. The PLC ( cp-314) is connected to the PC using a card cp5512 that is connected in one slot PCMCIA. I have the software simatic V5.2 (windows 2000). I am programming with visual studio 2008 express. I added some COM's components from simatic software into the "Toolbox" in my C# application, like: simens STEP 7 InfoBox, k7bvhwcx.S7viewHWConfig etc. So I can add some tools into a "windows form". However, here is what I dont know how to used those tools. So if you have some example how to make an application from C# like, the instructions to open the connection with the PLC and send any data (I would like to control the outputs of the PLC) will be really helpfull. If my explanation is not clear (because my bad English sorry =/ ) I can provide you more details. so please feel free as well to ask me any details. Thanks NEmo

J_Bell Posts: 5822 Rating: (412)	Hello, I am not sure, but with STEP7, I guess this is what you have as SIMATIC Software you will not communicate with the CP 5512. For this CP you require the Software SIMATIC NET SOFTNET S7 for PROFIBUS or SOFTNET DP Master or Slave. The mayor problem may be to run this all on the by you used OS, Windows 2000 is not supported by SIMATIC NET for quite a long time already. For the communication itself you would be able to use OPC functions this may ease your programming a lot, I guess. The only point I see as said is the question about the usability of the driver with your OS. Neira Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	Hello again I find the MPI/DP adapter serial and finally I can connect to the PLC as a port com, but I need send I/O from Hyperterminal for test. Why hyperterminal because I need send outputs from other software (National Instrument Vision Builder Automated Inspection) this software has many tools with connection to PC (these tools send info through the port com) that it is the reason to test in hyperterminal, if works with this I can send my outputs to PLC with NI Automated Inspection. Network serial port MPI/DP----> CPU 314 ----->DP 342-5----->ET 200B 16DI and 16DO Best regards Oscar Neira
