I can't reach the PLC from my computer (Windows 8 64 bit)

Jean V. Posts: 20 Rating: (0)	Good afternoon, It seems that I have a problem very similar to someones'.I can't reach the PLC from my computer (Windows 8 64 bit). The ethernet interface is nor listed in the "online acces" of TIA portal nor in the "PG/PC interface" parameter window. I have shown my problem to friends of mine, but they don't know anything about TIA. Could you please tell me whether you see any possible solution? 	"Expert" does not necessarily mean Siemens employee. Please cross-check your requirements always with official Siemens documentation. Also "Experts" are pleased about feedback. Jean V. Posts: 20 Rating: (0)	I had a message like: "The version of your operating system is not registerred as suitable version for TIA Portal. The versions compatible are: Windows XP, etc. The setup can though continue installation (without warranty). "

I made the check, and my OS is compatible. BUT I FIND THIS IN THE HELP, UNDER THE SECTION "NOTES ON USE": "The following function is already described in the information system, but is not available in STEP 7 Basic V11.0 SP2: Loading hardware configurations from the target system to the PG/PC." I think that this is probably the node of the problem. What about you? What do you think?
