I don't know anything about routing

Both part numbers support routing. Now, I have 5 numbers of 315-2DP as DP slave to 417-4. Then I have WinCC running on a Windows 2003 Server with communication over Ethernet. Thiscomputeris a serverarchituecture with two Generic NICs which are paired as a team.IthasStep7 5.4 Pro, Simatic NET, WinCC 6.2 and WebNavigator installed on it.I am using intergrated option. So the computer is configured as a PC station. Now, I need Step 7 to access 315 CPUs via routing from this computer. I see that for routing the PC has to be configured as PG/PC station. But for WinCC it should be PCStation. So what do I do here? Configure two separate stations in the same project(one as PC Station and one as PG/PC) with same IP? Then how do I downloadit to the same computer? Anybodyhasdone this before? Hello JMJ and J-Bell, I'm trying to achieve the same thing but I don't know anything about routing. I've read: http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/27104874 and http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/16620173 But still don't really understand how to configure the routing so I got acces from WinCC to the underlying PLC where I want to route too. Could you explain how you did it maybe JMJ? Edit: One difference is that I try to achieve it through MPI in stead of Profibus. Kind Regards, AppeltaartD

If I go online in Step 7 I can see my PLC with MPI through the 400 PLC that has a CP card and MPI. All that I have to do know is make connection from WinCC to the PLC, but if I wanna do a compile from AS/OS engineering it doesn't get regocnized so how do I configure that?
