Hello moris; There are many ways that these 2 CPUs can exchange data over their integrated Profinet port: - S7 connections (GET/PUT, BSend/Brecv...) - TCP/IP (TCOnn, TDISC...) - Modbus/TCP (with special licensed blocks see https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/22660304) - Profinet This document will help you understand all the types of communication you can do with your 2 PN CPUs (it requires a bit of study, though): CPU-CPU communication with SIMATIC controllers (compendium) https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/20982954
Easiest would be Profinet (it is supported natively by the integrated ports of your CPUs and requires mostly configuration), where one CPU would act as a Profinet IO controller and the other as a Profinet I-Device. The following Application example will explain how to plan and configure this connection: PROFINET IO - Configuration & Diagnostics https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/22981197 Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier |
