Hello Sundar, I am sorry to tell you that Siemens MMC cards have a special format. Only a PG or a portable MMC reader can read these cards directly. It appears that someone has inserted the 'bad' MMC into a PC and allowed the PC to format it (put a FAT table on it). The card is no longer usable in SIMATIC. I do not know for sure if Siemens offers a reformatting service or not, but it would not hurt to ask. Wish I had better news. |

If card is formatted in PC it can't be used in PLC - i'm totally agree with weddra. But you can find empty images of Simatic MMCs and put that image to foramtted card via card-reader. Then it should work. |

Thanks to all. Now i have only one (formated) memory card . could anybody send simatic images and files of the simatic MMC. is it possible to send that file to MMC through mmcport(not using card reader). If i should use card reader means should i use normal card reader or simatic card reader.

Dear sundar, As I have told you in my previous post, It's recommended to order a new MMC from Siemens. If you get the image from any where, I am sure that Siemens does not grantee that MMC. Please check the following FAQ: Why is the MMC no longer recognized by SIMATIC devices after it has been formatted in a third-party device? Regards, |
