i have a flow meter its range up to 53 m3/hour and i want in my program when the flow is 400m3, stop the pump

JO-ELEKTRO Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	HI, YOU NEED AN HI SPEED COUNTER THAT MEASURES YOUR FLOW THROUG THE DIGITAL FLOW METER. COUNT AND ADDALL THE PULSES EVERY SECOND UP IN A MEMORY LOCATION AND STOP THEN THE OUTPUT FOR THE PUMP WHEN THE MEMORY LOCATION REACHES THE 400 M3.

Can anyone help me to program it? Dear adelabdo, What's the type of signal output from flow meter and input to PLC? Let's suppose that it's a digital input. Then each time PLC recieves a pulse from the flow meter, certain ammount of flow has been gone, until reaching to 400m³. So, you can make a comparator to compare the SP (400m³) with the actual flow and after then stop the pump. Regards,
