i have two PV, two setpoints (SP) in eed two PID process varables?

(related to temperature, pressure), Right now i am not able to controling both the things at a time.but indugvaly i can do. what should i do for controling both at a time using to blocks. i have a two PV, two setpoints(SP) ineed two PID process varables? if one of all i can do. Hello, Simultaneous process of 2 different loops with totally different dynamics is not possible through single analog input/output channles and a single PID block.As you could handle them individually ,with no problem,I suggest assigning different analog input/output channles and feeding them to different PID blocks.The block should have different PID parameters and sampling times that projects the difference in their dynamics. If this is not solving your case, consult with a process engineer for a complex strategy and come back here for our comments for implementing any given complex control structures. I hope it helps Hamid Hosseini tqs for your help. Yaa previously i used a sampling time is same like 1sec for db100 and db101. Now i will try for different sampling times.

Hear MD16(SP) MD20(PV) MD24(LMN) MD28(error value) and this block cycle time is 2sec getting good. And MD0(SP) MD4(PV) MD8(LMN) MD12(error value) and cycle time is 1sec getting in correct values(bad response) what should i do for this ?can you give me any suggestion. Its running in automatic operation. In manual mode it’s not getting a response. And i need to control PID gain values also for what should i do? Attachment simulation.jpg (121 Downloads)

Like 1sec for one block and 2sec for another block but one block is not at all getting a proper manipulated value for error and LMN. One is getting. PFA. MD0(SP) MD4(PV) MD8(LMN) MD12(error value) MD16(SP) MD20(PV) MD24(LMN) MD28(error value) it’s getting good. Attachment simulation.jpg (113 Downloads)

hdhosseini Diamond Expert Joined: 1/28/2009 Last visit: 2/21/2023 Posts: 6794 Rating: (1340)	Hello again, Normallly , we provide tips for practical cases here.Temperature is totally different from a Pressure process.For temperature you still need D part of controller and a more aggressive action on LMN initially. For optimum PID parameters for temperature, I suggest using FB58 with embedded tuning capability and for pressure I suggest small gain and moderate integration time.Please , consult "Regeln mit SIMATIC" for some table provided for each process types. Hello, It is possible, ideally speaking, to simulate n loops at the same time in simulating module, but for sure situation is different in practice.For more samples, I suggest reading THIS manual.
