I need repeater-cum-convertor which will convert Modbus RS485 protocol to normal TCP-IP protocol

Tushar S Posts: 7 Rating: (0)	Dear Experts, I am using CP341 as a Modbus slave to communicate with ABB PLC which is master. Distance from modbus slave to master (ABB PLC) is 1600mtrs. ABB PLC is using TCP-IP (OPC) to communicate with all vendors. For thiscommunicationIneedrepeater-cum-convertor which willconvertModbus RS485 protocol to normal TCP-IP protocol; this will be placed in center at 800mtrs. Please suggest me,is there anyconvertor available? & whether this communication is possible or not? Splitted from CP341 MODBUS reapeter.

GrzegorzG Posts: 63 Rating: (19)	Hello! You can use for ex. Advantech ADAM4572 or Moxa MGate MB3170. They are Modbus (serial RTU/ASCII) to Modbus TCP converters, and they can operate in two modes (not simultneously): 1. as slave on the TCP side and as a master on serial interface side, 2. as slave on serial interface side and as a master on TCP side. Hope it helps.
