I need to count how many times the hardware interrupt occurs.

DDim Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	What do you mean "increment your memory word count"? I need to count how many times the hardware interrupt occurs. How can I use a counter in the hardware interrupt OB? It only counts 1 when I try it. --------------------- New subject after splitting from CV as a reset parameter for HSC.

Are you using a high speed counter (HSC)? If you are.. check that you have not activated the the frequency measurement. More detail of your application and program will be most welcome. Greetings. w

You may want to do a simple "add" that has nothing inhibiting it from adding. Add 1 to an UINT that has an initial value of 0. You can then see it count every call of the interrupt OB. Keep your interrupt OB processing to a minimum. I think if you look in your diagnostics buffer, you may find out your OBs are getting called faster than they can complete - when added into the normal PLC scanning and overhead (like HMI and portal comms updates).
