i've searched all forum for the answer but didn't find it.

I want to do very simple action, i think. On my screen i put i/o field. Then optioned it to be "input". My Tag connection is point to Global DB, to tag, which data type is "TIME". But i don't see the option where i can set limit for my tag. The minimum value and maximum value. I want that my operator only change that tag withing 20 and 40 (that is only example, of course). Usually, the minimum and maximum is visible for the operator on the pop-up keypad. Then he knows what is the range for the input.

Edit. I've found it. It is called "range". 

But, i've tested already and the minimum and maximum value is appear on keypad. But it allows

to put value, which is out of the range. There is very fast screen information that input value is from out of range and the result is that is not send to data block. But on my screen it look like everything is good and new value is get into parameter. How to block this or make visible to operator that new input value is faulted?

You cannot show a message or makes it more clear for the user. you also cannot block the input

The only way ist that you switch the Field into an I/O Field. so you can see if you type in not the correct value that the old value appears after doing "enter"

So you can see clearly that there is the old value and the new "false" Value is not set.

I'm facing the same issue on TIA V13 Professional how could it be that it isn't possible to get the range data from the tag and show them to user?

This was working in Wincc Flexible 2008, why not in TIA?

EDIT: Sorry I understood wrong.... Summer88 is looking for showing these tags' values on the keypad that pops up when the tag is changed.

Yes, that's the point: I would set the limits on the tag and then show them to user.

If that's not possible, I'm looking for set the limitrs on IOField, then in RT I get the message that entered value is not in range but I still can see what is the range.

Is there a way to show them to user by a script in C or VBA?

I'm looking at user manual it says: IOField: Object.LowerLimit(=DOUBLE)

I've inserted this script in a IOField Event onchanged:

printf("this is the lower limit on the screen io field: %d", screenName.LowerLimit);

but I can't compile cause:

left of '.' is not struct/union
