Hi,

I am using WinCC Advanced and TIA Portal V15 for S7-1500.

I get unidentified values shaped of "#####" from I/O fields. I am receiving data from RTU and keeping it in a Global DB which has not
been set as "Optimized block access". I monitor data block and all the data seem correctly responding. Request happens with 0.5 Hz of clock in program block. I created HMI tags which are linked to PLC tags that I wanted to be shown. I linked these HMI tags with I/O fields and set mode as "Output" because I only want to read. Data type I've been keeping in the Global DB is "Int", that's why I changed display format of I/O fields to "Decimal". Format pattern is long enough for that data. I think that I did HMI connection with PLC correctly because I receive no errors when compiling HMI tags. In the Global DB that I keep the data, data are accessible to writing/reading or to be shown in HMI.

I did put HMI tags section to attachment.

Hi, are you sure that your connection with the PLC is working? did you tried with other tags?

did you use simulator or real PLC and HMI? 

Thanks for the reply. I tried other tags but none of the tags worked. I am connected to PLC physically but for HMI, I simulate. Connection between PLC and WinCC is automaticly established after I made HMI connection through Networks section.

1. set the ip address of your computer to an adress in the same subnet of the PLC.

2.go to control panel.

3.click on PG/PC -Interface 

4.Select your access point to be S7ONLINE and the interface to be (YourInterfaceName.TCPIP.AUTO

hope it will work then.
