I/O Management Error

SSAIL Posts: 32 Rating: (0)	Dear All Recently We meet similar problems at three site using S7-315-2DP controller. The CPU goes in stop mode showing I/O management error in diagnostic buffer. No description is available against the said error in below window of diagnostic buffer. We not able to trace which card is faulty??? One similiarty we guess in all three sites is that all CPUs all using IM365 card to extend the rack. We are not sure but is the problem can be with IM cards but not showing in Diagnostic Buffer. Simple Digital and Analog card used after IM cards. Can someone suggest on the problem. Thanks & Regards Subhash Agrawal SSAIL, India

Check the manual in following link: System Software for S7-300/400 System and Standard Functions Volume 1 and Volume 2 In section 1.22 Rack Failure Organization Block (OB86) .Insert OB86 in your program and save the values of OB86_EV_CLASS ,OB86_FLT_ID and interpret according to the given table. We not able to trace which card is faulty??? Dear SSAIL, I'm getting the same diagnostic message "I/O management error", I couldn't locate the error yet. How about you? have you found a solution for that problem, knowing that in my case we are suspecting a fault in a DI32 110VAC card. Regards, M.G.

The solution was very basic. I was used to not compiling my config before downloading. On Vipa systems you will have this problem do not Compile first before downloading.

Is there something more on Vipa plcs, which can cause this problem? I already tried: different power supply for PLC checking cables, bridges between cards etc. first compile hw configuration and then download unfortunately nothing helps me.
