I/O-PN Interfaces 153-4AA01 with several routers

SIR Experienced Member Joined: 2/2/2007 Last visit: 4/8/2024 Posts: 55 Rating: (4)	Dear all!I’m sorry to bother the educated public with a basic question, but let’s try:I have several local Ethernet networks and a router to each of them with I/O-PN Interfaces 153-4AA01 to each, and one 315-PN/DPAddresses are Router/ IM: 10.60.2.1 / 10.60.2.11010.60.4.1 / 10.60.4.11010.60.5.1 / 10.6.5.110And so on…. One of them is for the CPU of course.How to connect all of them in a PN system?I hope this is possible.

jklm Platinum Member Joined: 12/22/2006 Last visit: 1/25/2022 Posts: 1742 Rating: (309)	Hello, Profinet IO is not routable. Configuration runs over TCP/IP, but the productive data (the RT data) is directly placed in a layer 2 frame, and is therefore not routable (no layer 3 like IP).
