I'want to connect CP cart (Simatic S5 - 6GK1143-0TB01) with PC (WinCC 7.0)

Jarek-PL Posts: 49 Rating: (4)	Hello I'want to connect CP cart (Simatic S5 - 6GK1143-0TB01) with PC (WinCC 7.0) On SIMATIC NET Twisted-Pair and Fiber-Optic Networks in pages 4-31 (89s) is how to pinning of the TP XP Cord 15/RJ-45. But i'm a little confused because there is two white connection. I'm using Simens simatic net industral ethernet FC TP standard cable (6XV 1840 2AH10) and ther is only white, yellow, blue and red wiring. Can i used it to pinning AUI to RJ-45 ? if yes how to do it ? Splitted from CentreCom AT210TS Adapter (AUI to RJ45).

J_Bell Posts: 5822 Rating: (412)	Hello, I am sorry, but the SIEMENS cable to not follow the color specification at this point. As the SIEMENS cable use FC they are preconfigured for FC Plugs and Connectors but still you may use them. You may just have to measure the needed pins with the used wires... this way you may verify the used pins at the 15 Pin Sub-D plug and you use it. Please do not forget to add the bridge between pin 6 and 7 at the S5 CP side. This bridge is very important for the CP 1430 to identify the RJ45 signal type. Best regards J_Bell

In “Network Connections” I have status “Connected” but I don’t Received and Sent any packets. I tried to scan for MAC address (SIMATIC Menager PLC => Edit Ethernet Nod …=> Browse..) but doesn’t find anything. Configuration for CPU and CP I have from this topic “Connecting to S5 via s5 ethernet layer 4 and CP1430TF!“ new.zip One more things. If I tried this cable to connect CP 443-1 (S7400) its have different behaviors. In Network Connections I have status “Network cable unplugged” and on 2 s “Connected” and again Network cable unplugged. (CP have green “Link”, “FDX”, and “RDX” is pulsing. Cable connection configuration is only for S5 AUI ?

J_Bell Posts: 5822 Rating: (412)	Hello, well, I admit... I am not the WinCC specialist. I an not sure how to diagnose the Layer 4 communication on WinCC. I fear this is a point you may have to talk to the provider of this Layer 4 channel. About some other points I can try to give you answers. As you may know STEP 7 and with it the Tool Edit Ethernet nodes works with S7-300, S7-400 and S7-1200 but it does not work with S5 hardware at all. So this is no indicator for detecting stuff. As you use a CP 1430 TF you will also know that you have only a MAC address which is usually defined by you. I hope the MAC you choose for the CP is the only CP with this MAC because the 08:00:06:01:00:01 is rather common for the beginning of a configuration... butleading you easily into trouble. Sadly is your last paragraph confusing me a bit. Do you use your self made cable with a CP 443-1 instead of the CP 1430 TF? What I would recommend in your situation, is - try to get online to the CP 1430 while connected to the PC and WinCC runs. Try to open the Test function in the COM 1430 and check if the Fetch / Write function you configured is in use. - If it does not work you may use Wireshark to monitor the traffic on your network, this way you ensure that the connection is established and if the PC you use tries to build up the required connection to the S5. Have you build your cable according to the drawing I posted in the Threat you mentioned? Best regards J_Bell

ETHERNET TP CORD, PREASS. W. 1 X 15-PIN ITP SOCKET AND 1 X RJ45 PLUG F. CONN. TERMINALS W. RJ45 IF TO THE ITP CABLING SYSTEM, W. MOUNT. BRACKET, LENGTH: 0.5 M’)

J_Bell Posts: 5822 Rating: (412)	Hello, I would say the cable you build is a Cross over cable. Cross over cable are build to interconnect two nodes directly with each other. So if you have your PC and your S5 alone, without any switch or hub between this cable should work. If you have other network components in use this cable may not work. Not every network component is able to support auto crossing. About your question it can be said that SIEMENS offers different cable for industrial Ethernet. Some are build for classic connectors and some for FC Connectors. I would say that it is no problem to use one of these cables as long as you use a SIEMENS Ethernetcable which interconnects the two connectors. Important is to check if every link in the cable works and is dedicated. Best regards J_Bell
