It depends on which HMI system you use (please tell us)...

In WinCC Professional you can use the C Script interface for the User archive to get direct access to recipe data, if you have a Comfort/Advanced system then you can only use the systemfunctions or the recipe control for accessing the recipe data

so a few more informtion to your usecase would be good, perhaps there is a workaround for you available
