Tiago Soares Posts: 10 Rating: (1)	Hello I'm currently developing a program that will control a water pump system and i need to, somehow, register the amount of water consumed everyday and the working time of the pump. I already thought about doing it using arrays, for example: - 2 paralel arrays of 31/30 days (not sure how will implement this - open to sugestions)) -> 1 for water quantity and ~~the other for pump data and time (DTL format);~~ - 2 arrays for 12 months -> 1 for each, water and ~~data/time;~~ - 2 arrays for 5 years (after 5 years the records will be deleted) -> again, 1 for each, water and ~~data/time;~~ Can anyone enlight me and give me any tips of how can i use this sytem please? Or perhaps, someone has a better system? Thank you

As this is a SIMATIC Panel conference, i beleive you are having a plan based on some SIMATIC HMI Panel. So what is the HMI Panel you are discussing about? What do you mean by array here? Is it the data log (assuming you are aware on SIMATIC HMI Panel's - Data Logging)or something totally different? How do you need to view the archived data? In atrend formor table form or something else? Hello First of all, thank you for your interest. The project is based on the s7-1200 1212C DC/DC/DC and KTP600 Mono Panel. By array, i meant using "Array [1 .. 31] of USInt" for example to store a specific data. I investigated the Data Logging function (i had no ideia it existed - i'm new to this PLC's world) you said and i think that can help me accomplish what i need. Like i said before, i need to store the following data: quantity of water consumed at the end of each day of the year and the ammout of time (hours) that the pump worked also on each day of the year (for a maximum of 5 years), so i can keep track of the water consumption for each day, month and year and also how many hours the pump worked during each day. I believe that the only way to have access to these logs (.csv files - Excel) is through a Web Server feature, so this would be my next step after i know how to create them . What i really need to understand is how this Data Logging feature works and if i can store the desired data by using it. Thanks in advance

Tiago Soares Posts: 10 Rating: (1)	Hi, My goal was to retrieve the logs from the PLC to PC via Web Server.. Does it have anything to do with the HMI Panel? Also, i'm currently using TIA V10.5 SP2.. I need to upgrade to V11 so i can have access to Web Server right? Thanks

If you want to store more data you can use the load memorie 1MB. see..S7-1212C Especifications You can use dataloggin aplication in CPU to store the data, but you can't retrieve the grafic in KTP basic, only in MP's and Konfort panels. But you can get the data with a PC. Pegaia's Sample program: S7-1200 and DATA LOG If you prefer you can custumize the webpage from the CLP webserver. TIPs and Samples Programs for User-defined web pages and S7-1200 Regards.

Tiago Soares Also, i'm currently using TIA V10.5 SP2.. I need to upgrade to V11 so i can have access to Web Server right? For webserver, Data Log in CSV file you need FW 2.x and corresponding STEP 7 v11 SPx correspondingly. (it's better if you use the latest FW 2.2 and STEP 7 v11 SP2 Upd 3)
